Vinyl Music Festival
Miami House Squad opened the second annual Vinyl Music Festival downtown on July 15 at Ceviche restaurant. Mario Serrano (l.) and Luis Benites also played their electro house sound during a headlining set July 16 at Ivory Lounge. Event Organizer, Matt Orr said the weekend festival drew more than 5,000 people to Sarasota.
Madam Milixa (l.) brought her electronica hip hop sound to Lido Beach on Saturday before headlining a show at Horse Feathers Grill and Lounge that night. "I think people were in shock," Orr wrote in an e-mail, to see "how far we took the festival this year."
DJs Scooter and Lavelle headline the main event of the Vinyl Music Festival on Saturday night at the Sarasota Municipal Auditorium.
Performing artists joined the dance party at Scooter and Lavelle's headling set Saturday night at the Sarasota Municipal Auditorium. More than 1,500 people showed up to the headlining set. Festival Organizers are already planning for next year's festival.

Golden Gate Point
The Golded Gate Point Association celebrates the completeion of its landscaping rennovation. The $3.8-million project included renovation of the entrance, streets, utilities and landscaping.
A Trolley Good Time
Siesta Key's Island Trolley has become a holiday staple in Sarasota. The trolley stops at Grace Baptist Church, which has a Christmas display with of 500,000 lights. This church featured three presentations, such as the "We Honor Our Troops" display.
